Congressman Dan Maffei finally endorsed Senator Kirsten Gillibrand as she seeks a full term for U.S. Senate next year. He becomes Gillibrand’s 15th endorsement from the Democrats' 26-member congressional delegation. The endorsement announcement follows on the heels of an endorsement from fellow Upstate Congressman Eric Massa a few weeks ago. Also making news in this race is Republican Congressman Peter King, of Long Island, who announced that he will not be challenging Gillibrand in next year’s Senate race. There are also rumblings that former Governor Spitzer may try to make his political comeback by challenging Gillibrand for her Senate seat.
